THE RULES OF THE BOARD

Forum Topics

1.) Topics can be anything related to Miracles. If you have a comment on a specific episode, please post it in that episode's thread.

2.) Please avoid spoilers in the topic. Though it's kinda hard for us to post spoilers for Miracles since we've all seen the first six episodes, please be courteous to those who may not have had the opportunity to watch them. You may post spoilers, but be sure to indicate, in the SUBJECT line, that your post(s) include spoilers.

3.) You are welcome to post links to other sites, Miracles related or not. However, I don't want to see new members post only one message about something for the sole purpose of advertising his or her own works, ideas, etc. on several boards at a time. This board is primarily for the use of its members, not an area for advertising other items. Completely off topic items like this will be removed. If you have questions about this, please let me know.

4.) *Unaired Episode Discussion* You are welcome to post what you THINK will happen, where the story is going, etc. If you're one of the lucky few who have seen the unaired episodes in Australia or Canada and wish to share summaries with others, please mark your posts as containing spoilers. Though, most of the posts in the unaired episode areas technically are spoiler full. Please beware when you browse.

5.) *File Sharing* Please do not post links to people or places on the Internet that are serving the episodes online for download. Our #1 goal is to get the show back on television, and if the television networks somehow believe that if people openly share these files online, there will be no one to watch the show ON AIR... Then we must nip this in the bud. Please do not share copies of the episodes!! I believe this may even include VHS copies as well.

6.) *Post/Thread Editing or Deletion* Any and all posts are subject to administration editing or deletion without prior notification. Posts will not be edited without due cause. If posts are made with links to download episodes, people who can make copies, etc. or discuss topics on how to get unaired episodes, your posts will be deleted without notice. I will contact you via ezInbox about the posts so you know what is going on. Though, keep in mind this is your warning NOT to post or discuss sharing files or hard copies of the episodes aired or not. Please understand this is not an attempt to limit users in their discussions more than it is a means to possibly get the show back on air! We all must do our part and to make sure we do not hinder its chances.

Image Use

1.) *Personal Icon/Photo* Please try to keep your personal icon to the size stated by your EZboard profile. 10x10 pixels and your personal photo to 60x60 pixels.

2.) *Signatures* Try not to use images in your post signature or keep them at a relatively small size.

3.) *Images in Topic* I'm not sure if we are going to try and cut back on posting screen caps from episodes, but as it stands NOW, you are welcome to post shots from the first 6 episodes.

Polls / Polling

Feel free to post your polls regarding what you think about the show. You can be as silly or serious as you want. The more interesting polls we can get, the better. They do help to generate some good discussions!

Member Conduct

1.) Flaming / Harassment: I believe are all adults here. There should be no reason (nor has there been) for personal flaming or harassment. If you have an issue with a specific user, take your battles off of the boards and do it privately.

2.) Explicit Language: I really have no problem with an occasional swear word or two. Just don't start doing it every other word. As long as you stay clean and civil, everything should be okay here. Swear words don't always have to be vulgar.

3.) Spamming: We've become rather popular in the past couple of weeks and because of this we've had several spammers come and drop their garbage on us. Let this be a warning to you spammers out there: YOU WILL BE BANNED. Spam includes multiple, duplicated messages.

4.) Sock Puppets: The use of sock puppets on this board is highly frowned upon. Please avoid this sort of behavior. Also, please read the following so you are familiar with this terminology:

IP Address: An Internet Protocol (IP) address identifies a computer on a network, or the Internet, and specifies routing information. Each computer on a network must be assigned a unique IP address, which consists of the network ID, plus a unique host ID assigned by the network administrator. An IP address is usually represented in dot-decimal notation, where the decimal values are separated by a period, for example: 192.168.10.1.

sock puppet n.[Usenet: from the act of placing a sock over your hand and talking to it and pretending it's talking back] In Usenet parlance, a pseudo through which the puppeteer posts follow-ups to their own original message to give the appearance that a number of people support the views held in the original message.

sock puppet "/'sOk p@ pIt/" n. An account made on an Internet message board, by a person who already has an account, for the purpose of posting more-or-less anonymously.

sock puppet (derogatory): A fictive personality - an alias maintained (abusing the semi-anonymity of the Internet) as a "follower" or as a deliberately unpopular "opponent" by an unscrupulous person who wishes to enhance his status in a particular Internet community. Term in use since at least 1994 - originated in the USENET alt.sci.skeptics newsgroup.

So, to all visiting sock puppets, let's just say: You know who you are, and so do we!

Admin Banning
